Advance Payment. 31.8.1 The Council agrees to issue advance payments of estimated net salary for the period of vacation requested, provided six (6) weeks' notice is received from the employee prior to the last pay day before proceeding on leave. Providing the employee has been authorized to proceed on vacation leave for the period concerned, pay in advance of going on vacation shall be made prior to departure and shall consist of an estimated two (2), three (3), four (4) or five (5) weeks' net entitlement subsequent to the last regular pay issue.
