Adoptive Parents Clause Samples
The 'Adoptive Parents' clause defines who is legally recognized as the adoptive parents in the context of an adoption agreement or related legal document. This clause typically specifies the individuals who will assume all parental rights and responsibilities for the child following the completion of the adoption process. For example, it may name the adoptive mother and father, or specify a single adoptive parent, and clarify their legal status in relation to the child. The core function of this clause is to ensure legal clarity regarding parental status, thereby preventing disputes or confusion about who holds parental authority and obligations after the adoption is finalized.
