Adoption Leave Without Pay. (a) An employee who intends to request adoption leave shall make every reasonable effort to provide reasonable notice to the Employer, but in any event shall notify the Employer as soon as the application for adoption has been approved by the adoption agencyagency or legal guardianship and custody papers have been drawn. Upon application the employee shall be granted adoption leave without pay of up to twenty-six (26) weeks commencing on the date of the acceptance of custody of the adopted child who is below the age of majority.
