Adopted Children. For adopted children who are not newborns, the Effective Date of any coverage provided by AvMed will be the moment of placement in the Subscriber’s residence; however coverage shall not be effective if the child is not ultimately placed in the Subscriber's residence, in compliance with Chapter 63, Florida Statutes.

Adopted Children. When a child is placed in your home for adoption, the child is eligible for enrollment during the 30-day initial enrollment period after placement for adoption. “Placement for adoption” means the assumption and retention by you, your Spouse, or your Qualified Domestic Partner of a legal obligation for full or partial support and care of the child in anticipation of adoption of the child.
