Adjustments to Contract Time Sample Clauses

The "Adjustments to Contract Time" clause defines the process by which the agreed project timeline may be modified in response to certain events or circumstances. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which a contractor can request an extension, such as delays caused by unforeseen site conditions, changes in project scope, or force majeure events. It usually requires the affected party to provide timely notice and supporting documentation to justify the requested adjustment. The core function of this clause is to provide a fair and structured mechanism for managing schedule changes, thereby reducing disputes and ensuring that both parties have clear expectations regarding project completion dates.
Adjustments to Contract Time. The Contract Time may only be adjusted for time extensions approved by City and memorialized in a Change Order approved in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents.
Adjustments to Contract Time. In the event of any change(s) to the Work pursuant to this Section, the Contract Time shall be extended or reduced by change order for a period of time commensurate with the time reasonably necessary to perform such change to the extent it extends or reduces the critical path on the Project schedule. Such time shall be requested in writing by the CONTRACTOR with the Contract price adjustment proposal. The time extension request shall be justified by the CONTRACTOR by submittal of a CPM analysis accurately portraying the impact of the change on the critical path of the project schedule. Changes performed within available float as indicated in the updated approved construction schedule shall not justify a time extension to the Contract. If completion of the Work is delayed by causes for which the DISTRICT is responsible and the delay is unreasonable under the circumstances involved, and not within the contemplation of the CONTRACTOR and the DISTRICT at the time of execution of the Contract, the CONTRACTOR shall not be precluded from the recovery of damages arising therefrom.
Adjustments to Contract Time. The amount of Contract Time that a Contractor has to complete a Project may be adjusted, but only as specified in this subsection.
