Common use of Adjustment Committee Clause in Contracts

Adjustment Committee. Whereas the Union tabled estoppel language pertaining to Article 14 and in particular Article 14.04 of the Collective Agreement, the parties agree to create an Adjustment Committee consisting of two (2) members of the Union and two (2) representatives of the Board. The purpose of this Committee is to meet on an as needed basis to review unexpected temporary vacancies which may arise, and to consider the impact of the change being contemplated with reference to student and school based needs, and educational programs. This letter will not replace Article 14 but will be utilized to address unexpected temporary vacancies which happen during the months of September through June. This letter shall be reviewed on a bi-annual basis at Labour Management meetings and must be tabled during bargaining for renewal and/or deletion. Signed this 16th day of January 2012.
