(a) Except for legal process which may also be served as provided by law, all notices required or desired to be given with respect to this Lease shall be in writing and shall be delivered (a) by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested, with proper postage prepaid and addressed to the party as set out below, or (b) by hand delivery to the address set out below. Any such notice or demand shall be effective and deemed delivered and received on the date given by hand delivery, or on the date of deposit with the United States mail in the manner aforesaid for notices given by registered or certified mail; provided that the period of time in which a response to a mailed notice must be given or taken shall run from the date of receipt as indicated on the return postal receipt.
