Adaptation to Flood Risks Clause Samples
Adaptation to Flood Risks. As discussed in a more general context in Sec. 3, adaptation can represent an effective mean to reduce the impacts from floodings. In particular the protection measures, such as ▇▇▇▇▇ or sea walls, are commonly implemented in flood prone regions (IPCC 2014). However, the required financial efforts for such implementations strongly depend on the present conditions in the con- sidered area and are difficult to estimate in the general case (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al. 2013, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al. 2010).
