Common use of Act of God Clause in Contracts

Act of God. 19.1: In the event of a natural or man-made disaster or emergency, the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners or the Chairperson’s designees, the County Administrator or Controller, may declare the same and authorize the pay of those employees unable to report to work. An employee who reports to work shall receive compensatory time or straight pay for the work performed.
