Accumulative Sick Leave. 1. Each regular full-time employee may accumulate sick leave at the rate of 1-1/4 days per month of completed employment up to a maximum of 235 days.
Accumulative Sick Leave. As of September 1, 1981, all aides employed shall be entitled to ten (10) sick leave days each school year whether or not they report for duty on that day. Unused sick leave days shall be accumulated from year to year with no maximum limit. Sick leave for aides employed after the first school day in September shall be prorated on the basis of one day per month. Those aides, who work less than five days per week, shall have their annual sick leave pro-rated.

All unused sick leave will be cumulative to a total of One-hundred (100) days, except that the number of family sick days will not be cumulative but will be limited to a maximum of thirteen (13) days per school year. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent and the approval of the Board, at their discretion, additional days of sick leave may be granted where and if there are grave extenuating circumstances.

However, all shorter term employees shall only be entitled to one (1) sick day for each month of their appointment. Consistent with Title 18A:30-3.2, a transferring employee may transfer up to thirty (30) days maximum of the number of accumulated sick leave days to which he was entitled in his last employing district in New Jersey. Such transfer credits shall be made upon receipt of verification from the prior school district.
