ACCESS IN EMERGENCIES Sample Clauses

The "Access in Emergencies" clause grants designated parties the right to enter a property or premises without prior notice in the event of an emergency. Typically, this applies to situations such as fire, flooding, gas leaks, or other urgent threats to safety or property, allowing landlords, property managers, or emergency personnel to act swiftly. By establishing this right, the clause ensures that immediate action can be taken to prevent harm or mitigate damage, prioritizing safety and minimizing potential losses during unforeseen crises.

ACCESS IN EMERGENCIES. In cases of emergency, such as gas, water or sewage leaks, or where buildings or electrics are unsafe the Council may enter the property without giving you written notice, if necessary by force, and whether you are there or not, in order to inspect the property and carry out any repairs required to deal with the emergency. If the Council does have to force entry we will ensure that your property is left secure and in a safe condition. You may be charged for any reasonable costs incurred in gaining access to, or securing, the property unless you have a good reason for not allowing us into the property.
