Acceptable Sabbatical Projects. A sabbatical may be granted for any of the following purposes: 1. Professional study related to assigned discipline(s) or for the purpose of retraining when there is a scheduled phase-out in a discipline and/or program. 2. Completion of courses for an advanced degree related to assigned discipline(s) or in advanced studies related to higher education. 3. Special project, research or assignment that relates to the goals and mission of the College and District. 4. Travel related to assigned discipline, course and/or program of faculty member.
