ABSENTEEISM MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES. The following procedure shall be recognised by the parties to this Agreement as a process in providing fair and reasonable counselling procedures in dealing with: (i) unsatisfactory absenteeism; or. (ii) The abuse of sick leave by employees. For the purpose of this clause "unsatisfactory absenteeism" shall be deemed to be any absence which is unpaid, unauthorised or amounts which are demonstrated as forming inappropriate periods of absenteeism, eg. linking Sick Leave with days off on a systematic basis.
