A. Hourly Part-Time Employees Sample Clauses

A. Hourly Part-Time Employees. Employee complaints and concerns over working conditions may be submitted to the Assistant Director of Administrative Services/Human ResourcesHuman Resources Director for review. This review does not extend due process and/or any other rights or privileges to hourly employees. Rather, the Assistant Director of Administrative Services/Human ResourcesHuman Resources Director will evaluate the matter and determine whether the complaint is or is not valid. It is an opportunity to bring forth a complaint, not a right to a hearing or any other process. If the Assistant Director of Administrative Services/Human Resources Human Resources Director determines that the complaint is valid, he/she will determine whether action is necessary to address the issues raised in the complaint. MEA and the City agree that all hourly part-time employees are at-will and serve at the pleasure of the City. Hourly employees are not entitled to submit MOU disputes and/or disciplinary cases to the Assistant Director of Administrative Services/Human ResourcesHuman Resources Director for review and are not entitled to participate in the grievance procedure abovemediation/arbitration on these or any other matters.

  • Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee is an employee who is engaged to work less than an average of 38 ordinary hours per week and whose hours of work are reasonably predictable.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.
