A DEFINITION. 23 A grievance is defined as a difference of opinion concerning the application 24 or interpretation of this Agreement. It is the express intent of the parties that 25 grievances shall be resolved informally with the manager whenever possible 26 and at the lowest possible step. Grievances may be, by written mutual 27 consent of the parties, referred back for further consideration or advanced to 28 a higher step. 29 30 Dismissal grievances must be filed in writing within the first fourteen (14) 31 days following the dismissal and shall be initially filed with the VP of Patient 32 Care Services or designee with a copy given to Human Resources.
A DEFINITION. A grievance is any question or complaint filed by a permanent employee alleging that there has been a misinterpretation, misapplication or violation of a personnel statute, rule, regulation, written policy laws, or any feelings of dissatisfaction which directly affects the employee in the performance of his official duties; or that the grievant has received prejudicial, unfair, arbitrary, capricious treatment in his working conditions or work relationships.
