Highly Effective definition

Highly Effective means an overall rating of highly effective received by a teacher or building principal, based on the ratings an educator received in the student performance category and observation/school visit category pursuant to the matrix prescribed in section 30-3.6 of this Subpart.

Highly Effective means that the administrator has a Satisfactory Component Rating in four (4) of the five (5) Appraisal Components in accordance with 5.0, and including a Exceeds rating in the Student Imporvement Component meaning that the administrator’s students on average achieve high rates of student growth, that is, more than one grade level improvement in an academic year as defined in the DPAS II Revised Guide for Administrators, as the same may be amended from time to time, developed pursuant to 4.0 of this regulation

Highly Effective means a teacher who is performing at a higher level than typically expected of 15 a teacher based on the evaluation criteria prescribed in this subdivision, including but not limited 16 to acceptable rates of student growth.
