In the event Eurostat decides to proceed with one or more base changes for the purpose of calculating the HICP Monthly Reference Index, the two HICP Monthly Reference Indexes which have been calculated on a different basis will be chained on the basis of the December HICP Monthly Reference Index of the last year of joint publications, which corresponds to the HICP Daily Inflation Reference Index for 1st March of the following year.
