Technological Risks Sample Clauses

Technological Risks. The following table describes the risks related to technology and innovation of the project and the solutions PRECIOUS can provide for mitigating these risks. The risks are order based on their se- verity and once they are identified during the project lifetime the Project Coordination Committee (PCC) should review and proposed the required mitigation actions. Area Risk / Realization percentage PRECIOUS solution / mitigation IMPACT: HIGH System The proposed sensing, virtual individual mod- eling and moti- vational system does not work as planned or does not have the desired ef- fect in preven- tive care. Realization percentage= 5% POTENTIAL RISK: HIGH. PRECIOUS development is not starting from scratch since it is based on well-defined principles of motivational interview, gamification, user centric design and tested commercial components and consortium wide experiences from earlier projects and research. PRECIOUS will take existing functional com- ponents as a starting point and will build new service elements on top of that. We are verifying our design in several levels. Agile management principles and wide testing both by lab and field experiments with real users are covered by the proposal. As mentioned, for instance text message and computer based systems have shown to improve preventive care efficiency. The build in user centric design process with active user contacts further solidifies our design such that it will not develop too com- plex or simplistic in service or technological design. In summary, we have well-justified reasons to expect that PRECIOUS will indeed achieve significant preventive care impact and that its build in quality controlling me- chanisms discusses can introduce corrective measures already in an early stages to avoid any potential short- comings for the project. Architecture The virtual indi- vidual model is not accurate enough or its functions do not yield the in- tended effects. Realization percentage= 5% POTENTIAL RISK: HIGH. The VIM will be developed on top of the current model version from FB which is accu- rate and used commercially by several customers in gyms and other health institutions with well-manifested health impacts following FB customer feedback. There- fore, the VIM starts on solid grounds, and during the project lifetime incremental updates will be added with new information from sleep, food intake, etc which will also be validated in the controlled environments and in the field tests.
