Teaching Assignment. For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.
Teaching Assignment. All actively employed teachers will be notified no later than June 30 of their tentative class and/or subject assignment for the forthcoming year. Changes in assignment made after August 15 will be made only after a conference with the teacher provided the teacher is readily available for such a conference. When developing the master schedule, school administrators will use reasonable criteria in attempting to balance class assignments, teacher preparations, room and responsibility assignments within the limitations of specific departments, subjects, grade levels, facilities, and personnel.
Teaching Assignment. The inload teaching assignment for the academic year will be provided to faculty by September 1st. Changes made to the AY teaching assignment after September 16th are based on discipline/department need and are made through mutual agreement between the faculty member and the Xxxx/Director. Any such changes can occur no later than two weeks before the start of the term in which the change is applied. Load that exceeds the instructional load assignment as defined in Article 3 is considered overload, and conditions are detailed in Section B. Overload compensation is detailed in Article 11, Section E.
Teaching Assignment. 1. In time-tabling teachers’ loads, special consideration shall be given to the load of beginning teachers to provide an assignment which is not excessive for the beginning teacher in terms of the number of course preparations, the number of subject areas, and the teaching location.
Teaching Assignment. Teaching assignments will include any course that can be applied toward an Associate’s Degree or Career Certificate or is part of the Adult Education or the Developmental area. Selection and assignment of faculty members to courses are the responsibilities of the Academic Vice President or Xxxx.
Teaching Assignment. 10.4.1 In general a Unit Member who does not wish to teach in the distributive education mode will not be required to accept such assignment.
