Media Center. The district will make every effort to continue to provide a media center staffed by a media specialist in each school to supplement and complement the required curriculum.

Media Center. Paraprofessionals - The primary responsibilities of these paraprofessionals involve the maintenance and operation of media centers, collections and programs as determined by the building principal.
Media Center. The parties hereto recognize the importance of the concept of the Media Center in each school as part of the district education program. In recognition of this concept, the following guidelines are desirable: Elementary School One (1) full time certified media specialist for each 500 students, or major fraction thereof; plus one (1) full time media secretary for each 500 students; plus one (1) full time equivalent media aide for each 500 students.
Media Center. To assist learners to grow in their ability to find, generate, evaluate and apply information in an information-rich environment.

Media Center. The Media Center is a resource center for all print and non-print materials. Media Center services offered to students include assistance with research assignments and book selections. Students must comply with all Media Center rules including, but not limited to, no games on the computers and computers need to be used for research assignments only. FIELD TRIPS Field Trips offer exciting ways to learn. TMSA students will have the opportunity to go on field trips at various times throughout the school year. Grade level and/or team sponsored day field trips are offered to most students. Students who have received an out-of-school suspension (OSS) during the school year will not be eligible to participate in any overnight field trips for the rest of the school year and any fees or deposits paid earlier are non-refundable. In addition, any student who has demonstrated the inability to follow rules may be prohibited from participating - this determination will be made by the administration on an individual basis. Any fees or deposits paid earlier are non-refundable. For all field trips, you will be expected to follow these rules: ● You must abide by the TMSA Code of Conduct and Discipline Plan while on the field trip. ● You must follow the TMSA Dress Code. ● You must bring to school the Field Trip Permission Slip, signed by your parents or guardian, by the specified date. No phone calls or e-mails will be accepted as permission.
Media Center. Use of the Media Center is included with rental of the Conference Center. It includes use of the wireless internet connection, the 70” Vizio Television, Chromecast/ HDMI cord, the microphones and the audio/visual equipment. Tenant is responsible for any damage to the equipment.
Media Center. The Board will pay One Thousand Fifty Dollars ($1,050.00) per teacher for up to two teachers for time spent on all activities related to Media Center responsibilities.
Media Center. The media center provides several thousand books, numerous newspaper and magazine subscriptions and Internet services for both research and recreational reading. The media center is open throughout the school day for student and faculty use. Every effort is made to keep the media center and its print and non-print holdings current. The following represents a list of policies/procedures that are to be followed by students at both LMS and LHS. • Books taken from the media center should be checked out at the circulation desk. • Reference books must remain in the media center so they will be available at all times. Some reference books may be treated as reserve books. • Reserve books may be borrowed for a period of time with the librarian’s approval. • All media center materials are the responsibility of the student who checks them out. (Calculators, textbooks, chromebooks, and any other materials checked out through the media center). • A fine of five cents per school day will be charged on overdue books. • The school reserves the right to withhold media center privileges to any student who fails to follow the rules. • Students may not check out more than three books at a time and only two books at a time at LMS. • Any lost, stolen, or damaged materials will be replaced by the student on record at the material’s original cost.
