DISCIPLINE AND DISMISSAL WITH CAUSE. ‌‌ It will be the policy of the College and the Federation to resolve matters informally, but if, in the opinion of the administration, the informal process will be unsuccessful or inadequate, the following discipline procedure will apply.‌ The College will not dismiss or reduce the compensation of any professor without sufficient cause. The College agrees to follow a formal policy of progressive discipline that includes a notice of expectation conference, a written reprimand, a temporary reduction in pay, and dismissal for cause. The College may bypass steps if the nature of the misconduct is severe, has been the subject of prior discipline, or is significantly disruptive to the educational process. The College will be required to justify and document the decision to bypass steps. The College will not be required to apply the progressive discipline process where the nature of the misconduct is of an extreme nature as discussed in section 11.6.‌

  • DISCIPLINE, DISMISSAL AND RESIGNATION 23.01 Unsatisfactory conduct by an Employee which is considered by the Employer to be serious enough to be entered on the Employee’s record but not serious enough to warrant suspension or dismissal shall result in a written warning to the Employee and a copy to the Union within ten (10) days of the date the Employer first became aware of, or reasonably should have become aware of the occurrence of the act. A written warning that is grieved and determined to be unjustified shall be removed from the Employee’s record.

  • Re-employment After Voluntary Termination or Dismissal for Cause Where an employee voluntarily leaves the Employer's service, or is dismissed for cause and is later re-engaged, seniority and all perquisites shall date only from the time of re-employment, according to regulations applying to new employees.
