Spare Engine definition

Spare Engine means a spare engine owned by Borrower for an Aircraft. For the avoidance of doubt, an auxiliary power unit shall not be considered a spare engine for the purposes of this definition.
Spare Engine means an Engine acquired in support of Buyer’s Affiliated Airlines’ fleet of Aircraft for use as a spare Engine when another Engine in such fleet is unavailable due to damage or is otherwise being repaired or serviced.
Spare Engine means any spare engine used to support a Covered Aircraft;

  • Such Grantor will not (or permit any Permitted Lessee to) maintain, use, store, service, repair, overhaul or operate any Aircraft or any Spare Engine in material violation of any law, rule, regulation, treaty, order or certificate of any government or Governmental Authority (domestic or foreign) having jurisdiction, or in violation of any airworthiness certificate or in material violation of any license or registration relating to such Aircraft or Spare Engine issued by any such authority.

More Definitions of Spare Engine

Spare Engine means an Engine acquired in support of Airline’s fleet of Aircraft for use as a spare Engine when another Engine in such fleet is unavailable due to damage or is otherwise being repaired or serviced.
Spare Engine has the meaning specified in Section 1 hereof.
Spare Engine means (i) each of the engines listed by Manufacturer, model and Manufacturer’s serial numbers in Part B of Exhibit 1 to the initial Mortgage Supplement and each subsequent Mortgage Supplement, and whether or not either initially or from time to time installed on any Airframe or airframe; (ii) any Replacement Engine which may from time to time be substituted for any of such Spare Engines pursuant to the terms hereof; and (iii) in either case, any and all Parts which are from time to time incorporated or installed in or attached to any such Spare Engine (including, without limitation, the portion of any quick engine change kits installed thereon) and any and all Parts removed therefrom unless the Lien of this Mortgage shall not apply to such Parts in accordance with Section 2.02.
Spare Engine means, as the context requires, a Spare Engine as defined in a particular Aircraft Chattel Mortgage or all Spare Engines as defined in all Aircraft Chattel Mortgages.
Spare Engine means (a) each engine further described on Schedule I hereto and any Additional Spare Engine or Replacement Spare Engine further described in Annex A to a Spare Engine Security Agreement Supplement originally executed and delivered in respect of such engine under the Spare Engine Security Agreement (except (i) any and all Parts related to such Spare Engine or engines and (ii) items installed or incorporated in or attached to such engine from time to time that are excluded from the definition of Parts by clauses (b), (c) and (d) thereof) and (b) any and all related Parts. The term “Spare Engine” shall include any Replacement Spare Engine that may from time to time be substituted for any Spare Engine pursuant to Section 6.04 of the Spare Engine Security Agreement or any airframe subjected to the Lien of the Spare Engine Security Agreement in connection with an Additional Spare Engine that has been subjected to the Lien of the Spare Engine Security Agreement pursuant to Section 7.03 of the Spare Engine Security Agreement. At such time as a Replacement Spare Engine shall be so substituted and the Spare Engine for which such substitution is made shall be released from the Lien of the Spare Engine Security Agreement, such replaced Spare Engine shall cease to be a Spare Engine under the Spare Engine Security Agreement. The term “Spare Engine” shall not include any Spare Engine after the Lien of the Spare Engine Security Agreement shall have been terminated with respect thereto.
Spare Engine and "Spare Engines" shall mean one or more, as the case may be, of the ten (10) General Electric CF6-80C2D1F engines owned by American that are not installed on the Aircraft. Each such engine shall be in a wing or tail quick engine change configuration and shall include an engine shipping stand suitable for such engines.
