Prize definition

Prize means anything offered, or purportedly offered, and given, or pur- portedly given, to a person by chance. For purposes of this definition, chance exists if a person is guaranteed to re- ceive an item and, at the time of the offer or purported offer, the tele- marketer does not identify the specific item that the person will receive.
Prize or “Prizes” means the prize or prizes (if there are multiple prizes) to be awarded for a particular Contest as specified in the Contest Summary;
Prize means anything of value, including, but not limited to, money or merchandise that is given to a player for attending or winning a game at an event. A nonmonetary item is valued at its retail value. Prize does not include advertising given away by a qualified organization in accordance with rules promulgated under this act.

More Definitions of Prize

Prize or “Prizes” means the winnings as defined in Section H (“Prize Structure”).
Prize means cash or an item or service of monetary value that is offered or awarded to a person in a real or purported sweepstakes or contest.
Prize means currency or any other valuable compensation or reward offered or given to a contestant. The term does not include a watch, medal, article of jewelry, trophy, or ornament that is suitably inscribed to show that it is given for participation in a contest and costs $200.00 or less.
