Metropolitan planning area definition

Metropolitan planning area. (“MPA”) means the geographic area determined pursuant to 23 USC §134(d) in which the MPO carries out the development and implementation of transportation and air quality plans and programs under 23 USC §134 and the Federal Transit Act §8, respectively, shown in Attachment #1 to this Agreement. “MPO” is the Municipality of Anchorage acting in its capacity as the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Metropolitan planning area or “metropolitan area” means lands within the planning area boundary of a metropolitan planning organization.
