Member of the Union definition

Member of the Union means a State party to the Act of 1961/1972 or the Act of 1978, or a Contracting Party.

  • An employee who is not a member of the Union may report the grievance or dispute to senior management or the nominated industrial representative.

  • Consistent with the terms of the Labour Relations Legislation Amendment Act 1997 and S.23(3)(c)(iii) of the Industrial Relations Act a representative of the Union shall not exercise the rights under this clause with respect to entering any part of the premises of the employer unless the employer is the employer, or former employer of a member of the Union.

  • The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a PEOPLE deduction as provided for in a written authorization.

  • During the term of this Agreement, the Employer shall deduct dues from the pay of each member of the Union who voluntarily executes a wage assignment authorization form.

  • If the grievance or dispute is still unresolved after discussions mentioned in clause 3.1.2, the matter shall, in the case of a member of the Union, be reported to the relevant officer of that Union and the senior management of the employer or the employer's nominated industrial representative.

  • Where an employee who is a member of the Union and who has authorised the employer to make payroll deductions of Union membership fees resigns his or her membership of the Union in accordance with the rules of the Union, the Union shall inform the employee in writing of the need to revoke the authorisation to the employer in order for payroll deductions of union membership fees to cease.


More Definitions of Member of the Union

Member of the Union means a state which is a member of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (“UPOV”);
Member of the Union as used in paragraphs (4) and (4a) above means any employee who holds membership in the Union. Such members shall not be more than thirty (30) days in arrears in the payment of membership dues.
Member of the Union where used herein means any employee who is a member of the Union and is not more than three (3) months in arrears in the payment of Union dues or assessments.

  • Member of the clergy means a clergyman or practitioner of any religious denomination accredited by the religious body to which he or she belongs.
