Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility definition

Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility means Physical Rehabilitation Units that are licensed special care units (or freestanding facilities) that provide intensive rehabilitation services through a multi-disciplinary coordinated team approach. The rehabilitation program for each patient includes:
Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility means a free‑standing rehabilitation hospital or rehabilitation unit in an acute care hospital or nursing home certified by Medicaid or Medicare that provides an intensive rehabilitation program for patients able to tolerate three hours of intense rehabilitation services per day.
Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility means a facility substantially similar to a “freestanding inpatient rehabilitation facility” or “inpatient rehabilitation facility” as such terms have been and continue to be defined by the General Assembly and the Ohio Department of Health or its successor.

Examples of Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in a sentence

  • Services received while confined as a full-time Inpatient in a licensed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.

  • Confinement in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility must follow within 24 hours of, and be for the same or related cause(s) as, a period of Hospital Confinement or Skilled Nursing Facility confinement.

  • General nursing care provided by the Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility is not covered under this benefit.

  • Services and supplies provided during an Inpatient Stay in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.

  • INPATIENT means an uninterrupted confinement that follows formal admission to a Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility by reason of an Injury or Sickness for which benefits are payable under the Policy.

  • Physician fees for surgical procedures and other medical services received on an outpatient or inpatient basis in a Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility or Alternate Facility, or for Physician house calls.

  • INPATIENT means an uninterrupted confinement that follows formal admission to a Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility by reason of an Injury or Sickness for which benefits are payable under this policy.

  • Physician fees for surgical procedures and other medical services received on an outpatient or inpatient basis in a Hospital, Related Institution, Skilled Nursing Facility, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility or Alternate Facility, or for Physician house calls.

  • Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility ServicesAcute inpatient medical rehabilitation facility services are covered.

  • If You Are Hospitalized When Your Coverage BeginsIf you are an inpatient in a Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility on the day your coverage begins, we will pay Benefits for Covered Health Services that you receive on or after your first day of coverage related to that Inpatient Stay as long as you receive Covered Health Services in accordance with the terms of the Policy.

Related to Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

  • Rehabilitation means the repair, renovation, alteration or reconstruction of any building or structure, pursuant to the Rehabilitation Subcode, N.J.A.C. 5:23-6.

  • Inpatient means an Insured Person who is Confined.

  • Nursing facility means an institution as defined in Iowa Code chapter 135C. This definition does not include acute care settings.
