Examples of issues that bring individuals and families to First Step include family conflict, substance abuse, poor academic performance and/or school-based behavior, and involvement with law enforcement and/or juvenile services for delinquent behavior.
When the grievance cannot be settled at the First Step, then the Association representative will refer it to the Association for further handling in accordance with the grievance procedure provided herein.
