Existing Systems definition

Existing Systems. Means the retirement systems that existed prior to December 1, 1970, and were consolidated by Chapter 121, F.S. From December 1, 1970, through June 30, 1972, this term means the State and County Officers and Employees’ Retirement System, the Teachers’ Retirement System and the Highway Patrol Pension System created by Chapters 122, 238, and 321, F.S., respectively. On and after July 1, 1972, this termalso includes the Judicial Retirement System established by Chapter 123, F.S. On or after July 1, 2007, this term also includes the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Supplemental Retirement Program, established by Section 121.40, F.S.
