Chinese Medicine Practitioner definition

Chinese Medicine Practitioner means a Chinese medicine practitioner who is duly registered with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong pursuant to the Chinese Medicine Ordinance (Cap. 549) of the laws of Hong Kong, but excluding the Insured Person, the Policyholder, an insurance intermediary, an employer, employee, Immediate Family Member or business partner of the Policyholder and/or Insured Person.
Chinese Medicine Practitioner means a Chinese medicine practitioner who is a) duly registered with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong pursuant to the Chinese Medicine Ordinance (Cap. 549 of the Laws of Hong Kong) or in relation to jurisdictions outside of Hong Kong, a body of equivalent standing; and b) legally authorised for practising Chinese medicine in the locality where the treatment is provided to an Insured, but in no circumstance shall include the Insured, the Policyholder, an insurance intermediary or an employer, employee, Immediate Family Member or business partner(s) of the Policyholder and/or the Insured(s).
Chinese Medicine Practitioner means any Chinese bonesetter, acupuncturist or Chinese medicine practitioner who is legally registered as a Chinese medicine practitioner under the Chinese Medicine Ordinance (Cap 549, Laws of Hong Kong), but excluding a Chinese Medicine Practitioner who is the Insured Person or an Immediate Family Member of the Insured Person.

  • This Benefit shall also be payable for acupuncture performed by a Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner on an out-patient basis.

Chinese Medicine Practitioner means a person licensed or registered to practice Chinese medicine under the relevant laws and regulations of the country in which he practices.
Chinese Medicine Practitioner means an Independent Person who is an herbalist, a bonesetter or an acupuncturist registered with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong according to the Chinese Medicine Ordinance or with the local medical authorities at the place of treatment if such treatment is received outside Hong Kong.

For the avoidance of doubt, a subsequent Stroke shall be treated as another Incident if it is diagnosed at least one (1) year following (and excluding) the date of diagnosis or surgery performed (as the case may be) of the previous Stroke. “Medical Condition” shall mean any sickness, disease, or other condition for which the Insured Person received medical treatment, diagnosis, consultation or prescribed drugs, or a condition for which medical service or treatment was recommended by a Registered Medical Practitioner, while this Policy is in force. “Neurologist” shall mean a Registered Medical Practitioner specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases or conditions of the brain and other parts of the nervous system. “Neurosurgeon” shall mean a Registered Medical Practitioner specialising in surgical procedures on the brain and other parts of the nervous system. “Primary Healthcare Services” shall mean the entry level health care that supports the day-to-day basic health care needs of the community, including treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries and the prevention of future ill-health through advice, immunisation and screening programs. “Provider” shall mean the designated service provider engaged by the Company.
