Section 11.1. 25 The District shall have the right to discipline or discharge any employee subject to this Agreement for 26 justifiable cause. The issue of justifiable cause shall be resolved in accordance with the grievance 27 procedure hereinafter provided. If the District has reason to discipline an employee, it shall be done in 28 private. The following progression of employee discipline shall generally be followed: oral warning 29 summarized in writing, written reprimand, suspension, termination. Depending of severity of issue, 30 one or more disciplinary steps may be bypassed. Whenever possible, the association leadership will be 31 appraised in advance of meeting.
