School Census. The submission of the school census returns by maintained schools is a statutory requirement on schools under Section 537A of the Education Act 1996. The data is submitted by Gloucestershire County Council to the Department for Education (DfE). School Census. 1. The School Census is a statutory return completed by all maintained schools and Academies within England. Data is collected three times per year. Data items vary according to each Census but all three Census returns include child level personal data. More information can be found in the government’s technical guidance document and it is the responsibility of the School/Academy to ensure they are familiar with that guidance11.

  • Low Census Low census is defined as a decline in patient care requirements resulting in a temporary staff decrease. During periods of low census, the Employer will assign low census to nurses in the following order:

  • School Nurses The location assignment (not hours) of School Nurses will be done in accordance with pupil demographics at the applicable work site(s) and the proximity of the work site(s), unless said assignment is revised pursuant to Section IV-E, F or O.
