Purchased Transportation. The following shall cover YRC Freight’s use of Purchased Transportation Service (PTS) and outline employee protections in connection with PTS. YRC Freight shall be permitted to use a limited amount of PTS for over-the-road transportation only and in connection with the movement of freight between distribution centers. Nothing in this Section 7(f) is intended to permit the use of PTS for any other operation (i.e., P&D, Local Cartage, drayage, or shuttle operations). Article 29 of the NMFA remains in effect, except as specifically provided for in this Section 7(f).

Purchased Transportation. The parties recognize the competitive nature of the LTL trucking industry and the importance of customer service. To that end, YRC Freight shall be permitted to use Purchased Transportation Service (PTS) in certain circumstances. The intention of the parties with the use of PTS is to generate growth and additional job opportunities for bargaining unit personnel by enhancing YRC Freight’s ability to compete in the marketplace. Prior to using PTS at any location, YRC Freight will send a certified letter to the affected Local Union and TNFINC. The following shall cover YRC Freight’s use of Purchased Transportation Service (PTS) and outline employee protections in connection with PTS. This provision shall not apply to Holland, New Penn or Reddaway. YRC Freight shall be permitted to use a limited amount of PTS for over-the-road transportation only and in connection with the movement of freight between distribution centers. The use of PTS will not, however, result in a layoff for active road drivers as of the Effective Date at those locations where PTS is used. The use of PTS also will not result in a loss of earnings for active road drivers at locations where PTS is used. These protections are described in more detail below. Nothing in this Section 7(fe) is intended to permit the use of PTS for any other operation (i.e., P&D, Local Cartage, drayage, or shuttle operations). The use of PTS under this Section 7(e) is for direct, closed-door service from distribution center to distribution center only. A PTS provider will not VIA to a YRC Freight customer or another YRC Freight terminal location. Article 29 of the NMFA remains in effect, except as specifically provided for in this Section 7(fe).
Purchased Transportation. The undersigned parties have reached agreement regarding Purchased Transportation Service (PTS) and outline the following understandings with reference to the operation/employee protection of this MOUSection. This MOUSection is intended to permit a limited use of PTS for over-the- road transportation only. Nothing in this MOUSection is intended to permit the use of PTS for any other operation (i.e. P & D, Local Cartage, current intermodal, drayage, or shuttle operations etc.). Any disputes regarding PTS will be referred to the ABF National PTS Committee consisting of an equal number of representatives from the Union and the Company for resolution. Purchased Transportation. Purchased Transportation is service provided to a public transit agency or governmental unit from a private transportation provider based on a written contract. Revenue Service (Miles, Hours, and Trips): Revenue service is when a vehicle is available to the general public and an expectation of carrying passengers exists. These passengers directly pay fares, have their fares subsidized by public policy, or provide payment through some contractual arrangement. Vehicles operated in fare free service are in revenue service. Revenue service includes layover / recovery time. Revenue service excludes deadhead, vehicle maintenance testing and miscellaneous operations related to incidental such as training. Road Failure: Road failure is an incident requiring a bus change, service call, or tow-call. Route Miles: Mileage traveled by vehicles when available for carrying passengers between end-terminal points. Security: The Security measure approximates the level of safety passengers may perceive and the appropriate level of effort by the provider to maintain a secure environment for passengers. This measure is calculated by identifying the number of NTD defined security related incidents, dividing by the total boardings during the same period and multiplying by 100. Service Change: The addition, deletion, or modification of service resulting in the physical realignment of a transit route, or a change in the type or frequency of service provided; may also include schedule or vehicle type changes; may refer to a change in service at the trip, route, or system-wide level as appropriate. May also indicate one of three standardized dates per year when service changes are implemented and new assignments are made to operators.   • Transportation Transportation expenses include, but are not limited to, airplane, train, bus, taxi fares, rental cars, parking, mileage reimbursement, and tolls that are reasonably and necessarily incurred as a result of conducting State business. Each State agency shall determine the necessity for travel, and the mode of travel to be reimbursed.

  • Storage The ordering agency is responsible for storage if the contractor delivers within the time required and the agency cannot accept delivery.

  • Transferred Assets (a) As of the Effective Time (as defined in Section 2.1) and upon the terms and conditions set forth herein, Seller will sell, assign, transfer, convey and deliver to Purchaser, and Purchaser will purchase from Seller, all of the transferable rights, title and interests of Seller in the following assets associated with the Banking Centers and identified in this Agreement and the Schedules and Exhibits hereto, and not otherwise excluded pursuant to the provisions of Subsection 1.1(b):
