Negotiating Committee. The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee comprised of representatives of the Association for the purpose of negotiating a renewal agreement. The number of nurses on the Negotiating Committee is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. The Hospital agrees to pay members of the Negotiating Committee for time spent during regular working hours in negotiations with the Hospital for a renewal agreement up to, but not including, arbitration.

Negotiating Committee. Negotiating committee members shall be recognized as having authority to participate in the negotiations for a collective agreement and any renewals thereof. Negotiating committee members shall be granted paid leave from their scheduled work to participate in negotiations.
Negotiating Committee. The Hospital agrees to recognize a negotiating committee comprised of members to be elected or appointed from the bargaining unit. Where the Hospital participates in central bargaining, the purpose of the negotiating committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined in this Collective Agreement. Where the Hospital does not participate in central bargaining, the purpose of the negotiating committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. Central Negotiating Team In central bar between the Ontario Nurses’ Association an the Participating Hospitals, a nurse serv- ing on the Association‘s Central Ne Team shall be paid for time lost from her re y scheduled straight time working hours at her rate of pay, and with- out loss of leave credits, for central negotiating meetings with the Hospitals’ Negotiating Com- mittee up to, but not including, arbitration. Central Negotiating Team members shall receive unpaid time off for the purpose of preparation for negotiations. The Association will advise the Hospitals concerned, as far in advance as of the dates for which leave is being requested: Upon reference to arbitration, the Central Negotiating Team members shall receive unpaid time off for the pur- pose of attending arbitration hearings. Time spent on such meetingswill not be considered leave under Article Leave for Association Business. The maximum number of Central Negotiating Team mem- bers entitled to payment under this shall be seven and in no case will more t an one (1) nurse from a hospital be entitled to such payment. The Association shall advise the Hospitals’ Central Negotiating Committeeof those nurses to be paid under this provision. The Hospitals’ Central will make such request known to the a hospitals. For any unpaid leave of absence under this provision, the nurse‘s salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital, and the Associa- tion agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentagein lieu of fringe benefits.
