JROTC Instructors. JROTC instructors shall be given the option, at the beginning of the school year, of being paid based on the teacher salary schedule in APPENDIX B – TEACHER SALARY SCHEDULE. or being paid on the basis of the Board's agreements with the applicable branches of the armed services for Military Instructor Pay.

JROTC Instructors. A. JROTC Instructors will be granted individual contracts renewable annually based on performance and the continuation of the program. If a JROTC Instructor is decertified by the Department of the Army, his/her employment by the School District shall be terminated.

JROTC Instructors. Every effort shall be made to employ the number of officers and non-commissioned officer instructors required to conduct a successful program. A minimum of two (2) instructors per school should be hired, i.e., one (1) officer and one (1) non-commissioned officer. (ARMY REGULATION C4, AR145-2). JROTC Instructors may be employed for twelve (12) months. Ten plus one employment may be recommended by the principal prior to the end of the spring budgeting process.   • Instructor Associated with the position of Instructor is a nominal workload of 195 hours per half-credit course. This nominal workload is normally made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time. The non-classroom time is made up of preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking or grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty. In the case of a two-hour lecture per week, or the equivalent of a two-hour lecture per week, the incumbent shall also be responsible for the first hour of seminar in each course.
