Faculty Qualifications. 1. The college must select instructors of dual credit courses. This faculty must be regularly employed faculty members of the college or must meet all criteria established for credit instruction in the DCCCD, including SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) criteria. The approval procedures used by the college to select faculty must be the same as that used for faculty teaching at the college campus.

Faculty Qualifications. The college shall select instructors of dual credit courses. A course offered for joint high school and junior college credit under this section must be taught by a qualified instructor approved or selected by the public junior college. An instructor is qualified if the instructor holds: A doctoral or master's degree in the discipline that is the subject of the course; A master's degree in another discipline with a concentration that required completion of a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline that is the subject of the course; or For a course that is offered in an associate degree program and that is not designed for transfer to a baccalaureate degree program: A degree described by item 1 or 2 above; A baccalaureate degree in the discipline that is the subject of the course; or An associate degree and demonstrated competencies in the discipline that is the subject of the course, as determined by the Coordinating Board. These instructors must meet the same standards, including minimal requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and approval procedures used by the college to select faculty responsible for teaching the same courses at the main campus of the college.

Faculty Qualifications. To teach a dual credit course, secondary school teachers must be approved by their local KCTCS college according to criteria established by the SACSCOC Guidelines for Faculty Credentials and the local KCTCS college policy. Dual credit faculty must meet the same academic requirements as faculty members teaching on the college campus. Secondary school faculty, as dual credit and concurrent enrollment faculty, will demonstrate, through appropriate documentation, compliance with KCTCS teaching qualifications. Appropriate documentation will include:  Official college transcripts;  A current vita, resume, or application showing teaching and work experience;  Official documentation of relevant work experience; and  Any documentation local policy requires. Secondary school faculty who are approved and teach dual credit courses will be compensated by the secondary school. The primary instructor is expected to teach the course from start to finish. Long-term substitutes for transcribed dual credit courses must be approved by the college’s Chief Academic Officer.
Faculty Qualifications. SACs have the responsibility to review and recommend education and experience prerequisites for Faculty positions. Management has the responsibility of final approval and implementation of faculty qualifications. Once approved, faculty qualifications shall not be modified without SAC agreement.

Faculty Qualifications. Faculty members may be assigned only to teach courses for which they are qualified by reason of academic preparation and/or experience, as defined by the College. In addition, faculty teaching credit courses must adhere to the guidelines provided by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) and/or other accrediting agencies, where applicable.
Faculty Qualifications. Individuals who have a desire to teach at FRA will be teachers who are appropriately licensed. The positions will be posted to indicate that candidates should demonstrate an interest and a commitment to the students as well as the mission and vision of the school. They should also have knowledge or a desire to acquire knowledge in Environmental Education and a willingness to conduct lessons out-of-doors on a regular (weekly at minimum) basis. All provisions of the Master Agreement for posting and selection of teaching staff will be followed. In order to assure its necessary autonomy as a Charter School, FRA may seek a Memorandum of Understanding with the Appleton Education Association. In the event of such an MOU, its provisions will take precedence over the Master Agreement. Teachers who are assigned to FRA will be members of the Appleton Education Association and will be entitled to all rights and privileges afforded other members of the Association. Salary and benefits will be structured according to the Master Agreement between the Appleton Education Association and the AASD. Open positions for FRA will be posted within the AASD and will be filled through the Arena Staffing process as outlined in the Master Agreement between the Appleton Education Association and the AASD. If the positions are not filled at Arena Staffing, the FRA Governance Board will screen and interview candidates and give the names of candidates who meet district and FRA standards to the AASD for final approval of candidates to recommend to the AASD Board of Education for hiring.
