Extra days off a) Employees, who as of September 1 are entitled to extra days off, must by August 1 each year select or deselect the option of taking one or more of the extra days off in the coming holiday year or instead, in the holiday year (September 1 – August 31) and on an ongoing basis, have set aside a further 0.5% of the qualifying wage per deselected extra day off. If they deselect all five extra days off, a further 2.5% in total shall be set aside. The number of extra days off that the employee wants to take shall be taken and paid according to clause 61. Newly hired employees can make similar choices no later than 1 month before 9 months of seniority is achieved.

  • Days Off 17.1 The Employer shall schedule two (2) consecutive days off for each employee each week provided that it is recognized that due to the nature of the Employer’s operation in providing a public service, the scheduling of two (2) consecutive days off may not always be feasible.   • Furlough Days A furlough day is defined as a day during the fiscal year on which employees do not report to work and are not paid. Furloughs are designed to address temporary emergency financial circumstances that threaten the financial well- being of the institution. Therefore, the President, with approval of the Board of Trustees, may temporarily place all bargaining unit eligible employees on leave without pay status when the state does not fully fund the base operating grant in any particular fiscal year. The Board shall approve the duration and dates of the furlough, after notifying the Union of the State’s failure to fund the base operating grant necessitating the need for furlough days. Employees shall be given at least 30 days’ notice of a furlough. No more than 5 furlough days shall fall within the same pay period. If the Board implements more than 10 furlough days in a fiscal year, the College shall not implement a reduction in force for unit members during the same fiscal year. If after furlough days have been implemented, the College receives full funding of the State base operating grant in a particular fiscal year, unit members who had unpaid furlough days during that year and remain employed with the College shall be reimbursed for their lost earnings due to the unpaid furlough days.

  • Working Days E9.9 Without prejudice to clause 9.1, where the Authority funds the delivery of this Contract using European Social Fund (ESF) funds or in its role as a Co-financing Organisation uses this contract as a match for ESF provision, either at the outset of the contract or at any point during the life of the contract, the Contractor and any Sub-contractors appointed by it shall be bound by the corresponding additional requirements detailed within relevant Contractor Guidance, including the maintaining of records until at least 31 December 2023.

  • Rostered Days Off 36.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a 10 day/2 week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off. The tenth day will be known as the Rostered Day Off or (RDO).

  • Extra Hours (i) (a) Any additional hours beyond base hours shall be offered in a fair and impartial manner among "A" list part-time employees in the classification and in the geographical location in which the additional hours are required. Each zone and bureau and One Yonge Street shall be considered separate geographical locations. A part-time employee who is scheduled to work additional hours beyond the base hours (under the terms of Article 7) and who does not work those hours due to sickness shall be paid for such hours under the application of the sick leave provisions under Article 13 and Clause (2405).

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
