Environmental Management System. The Environmental Management System as described in Schedule 18 (Technical Requirements) is specified in Appendix 7, as attached and forming part of this Schedule, and shall be amended or supplemented by the Contractor as required in accordance with Schedule 18 and in accordance with the procedure set out in Schedule 5 (Design and Plan Certification Process and Review Procedure).
Environmental Management System. The Borrower shall develop and implement an environmental management system, which will incorporate at least the following elements: a board-approved environmental policy; designated personnel assigned to assess, achieve and maintain material compliance with Environmental Laws; a reporting system to ensure monitoring and oversight by management; and systematic record keeping and management review of budgets and expenses relating to cleanup and compliance with Environmental Laws. The Borrower shall certify the completeness and implementation of such a program on or before one hundred twenty (120) days after the Closing Date. Upon the Administrative Agent's reasonable request, and at Borrower's sole cost and expense, Borrower shall obtain and provide to the Administrative Agent a written evaluation of an environmental consulting firm reasonably acceptable to the Administrative Agent, confirming that the Borrower's environmental management system is reasonable and customary, and could reasonably be expected to identify, remedy and manage material environmental liabilities and/or cleanup obligations.
Environmental Management System. DLA Disposition Services implemented Environmental Management System (EMS) IAW ISO 14001:2004(E) and DOD/DLA policy requirements at all appropriate DLA Disposition Services facilities. The EMS is an overall management system that includes organizational structure, planning activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources for developing, implementing, achieving, reviewing and maintaining the environmental policy of an organization. The DLA Disposition Services EMS is designed to ensure that all personnel, including contract personnel, whose work activities can cause real or potential significant environmental impact, are aware of how their work supports the EMS and are competent to perform their roles, responsibilities and authorities while supporting the DLA Disposition Services mission. The DLA Disposition Services EMS program is explained in the agency Environmental Management System (EMS) core instruction. Site supplements may detail information required by EMS at a local level such as local, state and host environmental regulations as well as local emergency procedures and operating procedures unique to the location. Site supplements also contain information concerning the local interaction between the DLA Disposition Services tenant and host DOD/DLA facility programs. Contractors and their personnel are required to be aware that each DLA Disposition Services facility has an EMS and to be aware of related policies to perform work and/or gain access to an installation. Each DLA Disposition Services facility maintains EMS awareness posters that identify the DLA Disposition Services Environmental Management Representative (EMR) and host facility EMR for specific guidance concerning an individual facility’s EMS program. Contractors may request current copies of EMS information identified in this paragraph by contacting the local COR.

Environmental Management System. 6.1.1 The Authority must maintain its Environmental Management System in accordance with the current Australian Standard.
Environmental Management System. ▪ All service providers appointed to render any services within Eskom Xxxxx Power Station are required to comply with the station’s Environmental Management System requirements. ▪ All service providers appointed to render any services within Eskom Xxxxx Power Station are required to comply with the station’s Environmental Management System requirements. ▪ NB: Before commencing with any work, the service providers are required to visit the station’s environmental section for evaluation. The station’s environmental practitioner will evaluate the services to be rendered by the service provider and therefore allocate relevant legal and other requirements documents which the contractor shall comply with during the works. The service provider together with Eskom’s Environmental practitioner shall sign in the Environmental Agreement Register to indicate that the agreement is reached. ▪ The service provider shall then commence with the works but paying inordinate attention towards implementing the relevant legal and other requirements measures as agreed in the register. Failure to comply with this agreement may ultimately lead to the termination of this contract. This requirement shall also be clearly stipulated in the NEC contracts between Eskom Xxxxx Power Station and any service providers. ▪ It should always be noted that Xxxxx Power Station is ISO14001 certified and therefore promotes Integrated Environmental Management (IEM) philosophy which aims to achieve a desirable balance between conservation and development. All activities taking place within Xxxxx Power Station must consider section 28 of the National Environmental Management Act (107 of 1998) which makes provision for the duty of care approach. The contractor’s team must commit to review and to continually improve environmental management, with the objective of improving overall environmental performance. The Contractor must consult with Kriel Environmental section on a regular basis for on- going assistance and advices. The EMS shall clearly cover the following areas as per ISO 14001; ▪ Environmental policy ▪ Environmental legal and other requirements ▪ Risk Assessments/Aspects & Impacts Register ▪ Improved management of monitoring and measurement documentation (e.g. devices calibration certificates) ▪ Provision of necessary resources (e.g. computers, adequate human resource) and allocation of roles and responsibility (through clear appointments) to achieve effective implementation of the EMS. ▪ Cont...
