Breastfeeding. The practice of a Participant feeding their breast milk to their infant(s) on the average of at least once a day.
Breastfeeding. 69.1 Paid break Each Employer will provide reasonable paid break time for an Employee to express breast milk for her nursing child each time such Employee has need to express the milk, or breastfeed the child within the workplace, for one year after the child’s birth.
Breastfeeding. 60.2 The Employer is to provide private and comfortable areas at each worksite for Employees who are breast feeding, upon their request, to enable them to express breast milk or feed children while at work.

In recognition of Section 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Action (29 U.S.C.A. 207), the Medical Center will provide a room for nurses that are breastfeeding mothers, in which to pump that is reasonably accessible to the nurses on the unit. In the event of a department remodel, creation or reorganization both parties will enter into good faith discussions to collaboratively identify breastfeeding rooms. Combination of breaks will be allowed under this section for the purpose of providing breast milk. A nurse who combines paid break time shall document the break start and stop time in the unit break log. If the amount of time required by the breastfeeding mother is in excess of paid time for breaks, such time will be without pay.
Breastfeeding. Breastfeeding employees who choose to continue providing their milk for their infants after returning to work shall receive:
Breastfeeding. In the event that a female employee wished to breastfeed her infant at work, and provided the worksite is in an appropriate location as determined by the employee and the manager, the employee shall be allowed time off with pay for up to one (1) hour per day for this purpose, provided she has received approval from the appropriate manager. This arrangement may be provided for a maximum of six (6) months in duration.

Breastfeeding. We strongly encourage you to breastfeed your baby. Breastfeeding is normal and offers many lifelong benefits for both of you. Although breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world it is not always easy. As midwives we are very dedicated to assisting women to resolve problems such as sore nipples and not enough milk. We have many skills in this area, and we can access other resources such as lactation consultants when this is helpful. Our postpartum home visits mean that mothers and babies don’t have to leave home to be reassured that things are going well or to get help with breastfeeding. We weigh the baby at each visit from day 3 on. We can link you with other resources in the community; community groups are a great way to get ongoing support after you leave our care when your baby is 6 weeks old.
Breastfeeding. The Organisation is committed to providing a family friendly workplace. This commitment includes the accommodation of flexible working hours, and flexibility of times of usual breaks as required for breastfeeding, expressing breast milk, or feeding of expressed or bottle milk or other feeding requirement. Required absences for these purposes shall be negotiated with the CEO.
Breastfeeding. The District will provide a private, secure and sanitary location for any teacher who is lactating to express her milk or breastfeed her child. Teachers may utilize any break time provided by the District and will not lose any pay as a result. (2021)
