Works Contractor definition

Works Contractor means the person or persons, firm or company named in the Agreement whose tender has been accepted by the Authority and includes the Works Contractor’s legal personal representatives or permitted assigns;
Works Contractor means any person, undertaking or contracting authority, or group of such persons, undertakings and/or authorities, offering to execute, design and execute, or realize, by whatever means, a work or construction or civil engineering activities, i.e. activities that are directly involved in the construction, restoration, repairing or demolition of buildings, facilities, civil engineering structures, other structures, or any part(s) thereof.
Works Contractor s Brief’ means the documents and/or drawings which set out the Works and the Works Contractor’s Design that the Works Contractor shall carry out, as identified in the Agreement;

Examples of Works Contractor in a sentence

  • The Works Contractor agrees with the Authority to carry out the Works Contractor’s Design and the Works and, in consideration of this agreement, the Authority agrees to pay the Works Contractor the Contract Sum in accordance with the terms of the Works Contractor’s Contract (as defined in clause 3).

  • For the purposes of condition 5.5.1 (Insurance) of the Conditions of Contract, the Works Contractor shall maintain the minimum levels of insurance cover included in the tender proposals dated and the related tender correspondence.

More Definitions of Works Contractor

Works Contractor s Design’ means the design of the Works for which the Works Contractor is responsible in accordance with the Works Contractor’s Brief and these Conditions of Contract;
Works Contractor s Design Proposals’ means all or any designs, plans, models, sketches, drawings, calculations, specifications and any other documents whatsoever submitted by the Works Contractor as part of his tender or during the course of the Works Contractor’s Contract detailing how he proposes to implement the Works Contractor’s Brief in accordance with the Works Contractor’s Brief.
Works Contractor means the contractor for a Works Contract.
Works Contractor has the meaning given in the Project Management Agreement. Works for the Extension means all design, supply, procurement, testing, construction, commissioning, Defects rectification and ancillary works and services associated with the construction and completion of the Extension.
Works Contractor means a contractor engaged under a Works Contract.
Works Contractor means a person engaged directly or indirectly by a licensee to carry out works on behalf of the licensee, and includes a sub-contractor.
Works Contractor means the contractor of the Works or their part, with whom the EMPLOYER has entered or will enter into a due contract in order to perform all or part of the Works, to remedy defects or to provide goods or equipment within the framework of the Works.
