of the Company means any person who is or was a director, officer, employee or other agent of the Company or a subsidiary of the Company; or is or was serving at the request of, for the convenience of, or to represent the interests of the Company or a subsidiary of the Company as a director, officer, employee or agent of another foreign or domestic corporation, partnership, joint venture, trust or other enterprise; or was a director, officer, employee or agent of a foreign or domestic corporation which was a predecessor corporation of the Company or a subsidiary of the Company, or was a director, officer, employee or agent of another enterprise at the request of, for the convenience of, or to represent the interests of such predecessor corporation.
to the Company’s knowledge means the actual knowledge after reasonable investigation of the Company’s officers and directors.
SITC means the Standard International Trade Classification, Revision 3 (SITC, Rev. 3), published by the United Nations in Statistical Papers, Series M, No. 34/Rev. 3 (1986);
Midland means Midland Loan Services, a Division of PNC Bank, National Association.
County means the county of Los Angeles or any public entities for which the board of supervisors is the governing body. (Ord. 2002-0040 § 1, 2002: Ord. 2002-0015 § 1 (part), 2002)
Woodland means a group of indigenous trees which are not a natural forest, but whose crowns cover [more than] at least five per cent of the area [bounded by trees forming the perimeter of the group] they 10
Expressway means a divided arterial highway for through traffic with full or partial control of access with an excess of fifty percent of all crossroads separated in grade.
State department means the state department of human services.
North Carolina CANCELLATION section is amended as follows: We may not cancel this Agreement except for nonpayment by You or for violation of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
medical authority means the medical authority as referred to in clause (p) of section 2 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 or such other medical authority as may, by notification, be specified by the Central Government for certifying “autism”, “cerebral palsy”, “multiple disabilities”, “person with disability” and “severe disability” referred to in clauses (a), (c), (h), (j) and (o) of section 2 of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999;
Village means a village specified by the Governor by public notification to be a village for the purposes of this Part and includes a group of villages so specified.
Residence district means the territory contiguous to a highway, not comprising a business district,
State fire marshal means the chief officer of the division of fire protection as described in Iowa Code section 100.1 or one authorized to act in the state fire marshal’s absence.
Service Company means any entity employed by the Custodian or the Distributor, including the transfer agent for the Fund(s), to perform various administrative duties of either the Custodian or the Distributor. In any case where there is no Service Company, the duties assigned hereunder to the Service Company will be performed by the Distributor (if any) or by an entity that has a contract to perform management or investment advisory services for the Fund(s).
District means the Montgomery County Municipal
Freeway means a divided multi-lane highway for through traffic with all crossroads separated in grade and with full control of access.
State forest means land dedicated under the Forests Act as a State forest;
Local Street means an open (traversable) right-of-way that is not identified in Schedule E of the most recent City of Winnipeg Streets By-law No. 1481/77 (i.e. not a Regional Street);
School district means a public school district.
Ameren Illinois means Ameren Illinois Company d/b/a Ameren Illinois.
State highway means a state route or portion of a state
Washington All references to Obligor throughout this Agreement are replaced with Service Provider. A ten percent (10%) penalty per month shall be applied to refunds not paid or credited within thirty (30) days of receipt of returned service Agreement. We may not cancel this Agreement without providing You with written notice at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the effective date of cancellation. Such notice shall include the effective date of cancellation and the reason for cancellation. You are not required to wait sixty (60) days before filing a claim directly with the Service Provider. ARBITRATION section is amended to add the following: The Insurance Commissioner of Washington is the Service Provider’s attorney to receive service of process in any action, suit or proceeding in any court, and the state of Washington has jurisdiction of any civil action in connection with this Agreement. Arbitration proceedings shall be held at a location in closest proximity to the service Agreement holder’s permanent residence. You may file a direct claim with the Service Provider at any time.
Receiving district means a district to which all or part of the territory of a dissolved district is attached under section 12 of the revised school code, MCL 380.12.
State Council means the resident members of the State Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision created by each state under Article IV of this compact.
AT&T NORTH CAROLINA means the AT&T owned ILEC doing business in North Carolina.
