Rule 4.12 Temporary appointment (a) A temporary appointment shall be granted for a period of less than one year to meet seasonal or peak workloads and specific short-term requirements, having an expiration date specified in the letter of appointment.
Temporary appointment may be made only to (a) perform work in the absence of an employee on leave for more than six (6) consecutive months or (b) perform work which does not exceed one thousand fifty (1050) hours in any twelve (12) consecutive month period.
Temporary appointment shall require official personnel action and the Chief Examiner shall be so notified.
