Telecommunications Service definition

Telecommunications Service is as defined in the Act.

Telecommunications Service means the electronic transmission, conveyance, or routing of voice, data, audio, video, or any other information or signals to a point, or between or among points, including a transmission, conveyance, or routing in which computer processing applications are used to act on the form, code, or protocol of the content for purposes of transmission, conveyance, or routing without regard to whether that service is referred to as voice over internet protocol services or is classified by the federal communications commission as enhanced or value added.   • If a local Telecommunications Service is subsequently classified as a Grandfathered Service by CBT, CBT agrees to continue to sell such Grandfathered Service (subject to the terms of Section 10.3.2) to CLEC for resale to CLEC's Customers that subscribe to such Grandfathered Service at the time it is so classified by CBT.

  • DA listings provided to CBT by CLEC under this Agreement will be used and maintained by CBT only for providing Telecommunications Services, and may be disclosed to third parties only for the purpose of providing Telecommunications Service to those parties.

For the purpose of this subsection, “information” means knowledge or intelligence represented by any form of writing, signs, signals, pictures, sounds, or any other symbols. For the purpose of this Chapter, telecommunications service excludes the over-the-air transmission of broadcast television or broadcast radio signals.
