Student teacher definition

Student teacher means a student who has been issued a student teacher certificate by a teacher education institution to assume teaching responsibilities in an accredited or approved Kansas educational agency under the supervision of a cooperating teacher. Student teacher means a college student preparing to teach who is assigned a period of guided teaching during which the student assumes increasing responsibility for directing the learning of a group or groups of students over a period of time.
