State Conservationist definition

State Conservationist means the NRCS employee authorized to direct and supervise NRCS activities in a State, and includes the Directors of the Caribbean Area (Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), or the Pacific Islands Area (Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands).
State Conservationist means the NRCS official, or his or her designee, in charge of NRCS operations within a State.
State Conservationist means the SCS official in charge of agency oper- ations within a state, as set forth in part 600 of this chapter;

  • The Participant may request, in writing, a waiver of this requirement for financially assisted practices by the NRCS State Conservationist.
