Assumed State and Local Tax Rate means the tax rate equal to the sum of the products of (x) the Corporation’s income tax apportionment factor for each state and local jurisdiction in which the Corporation files income or franchise tax returns for the relevant Taxable Year and (y) the highest corporate income and franchise tax rate in effect for such Taxable Year for each such state and local jurisdiction in which the Corporation files income tax returns for each relevant Taxable Year.
MEC for local government means the member of the Executive Council of a province who is responsible for local government in that province;
Local government means a unit of government in a State and, if chartered, established, or otherwise recognized by a State for the performance of a governmental duty, including a local public authority, a special district, an intrastate district, a council of governments, a sponsor group representative organization, and any other instrumentality of a local government.
Unit of local government means unit of local government as defined by section 115(5).
Local government entity means a county, incorporated city, independent school district, public junior college district, emergency services district, other special district, joint board, or other entity defined as a political subdivision under Texas law that maintains the capability to provide mutual aid.
Central Government means the Government of India;
Developed exclusively with government funds means development was not accomplished exclusively or partially at private expense.
Federal Government means the Federal Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Local governments means cities, towns, counties, special purpose districts, and any other municipal corporations or quasi-municipal corporations in the state excluding school districts and port districts.
State aid means aid defined by the Treaty of the Functioning of the European Union, Article 107(1). It is granted through state resources in any form which could distort competition and affect trade by favouring certain undertakings or the production or certain goods is incompatible with the common market unless the Treaty of the Functioning of the European Union allows otherwise.
County Government means the county government provided for under Article 176 of the Constitution;
Tribal government means an Indian tribal government as defined in Section 3(32) of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), as amended, or an agency or instrumentality of the trib- al government, that has government offices principally located in this state.
Provincial Government means the Western Cape government;
Local unit of government means a county, township, city, or village.
Participating local government means a local government
State archives means the Division of Archives and Records Service created in Section 63A-12-101.
Local government unit or “LGU” means (i) a State Authority, county, Municipality, municipal, county or regional sewerage or utility Authority, municipal sewerage district, joint meeting, improvement Authority, or any other political subdivision of the State authorized pursuant to law to construct, operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems, or (ii) a State Authority, district water supply commission, county, Municipality, municipal, county or regional utilities Authority, municipal water district, joint meeting or any other political subdivision of the State authorized pursuant to law to operate or maintain a public water supply system or to construct, rehabilitate, operate or maintain water supply facilities or otherwise provide water for human consumption; or (iii) a county, municipality, municipal, county or regional transportation authority, or any other political subdivision of the State authorized to construct, operate, and maintain public highways or transportation projects as defined pursuant to this section.
Combined state and local revenue per membership pupil means the district’s combined state and local revenue divided by the district’s membership excluding special education pupils.
Certified local government means a historic preservation program established by county or municipal ordinance that is certified by the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to 36 CFR Part 61, the implementing regulations for the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended.
All applicable Federal, State, and local taxes and duties means all taxes and duties, in effect on the contract date, that the taxing authority is imposing and collecting on the transactions or property covered by this contract.
exclusive economic zone ’ means the zone established by Presidential Proclamation Numbered 5030, dated March 10, 1983, including the ocean waters of the areas referred to as ‘‘eastern special areas’’ in Article 3(1) of the Agreement between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Re- publics on the Maritime Boundary, signed June 1, 1990;
Host Government means a Government with which UNICEF has a programme of development cooperation, and includes a Government of a country in which UNICEF provides humanitarian assistance.
State Government means the Government of the State of Punjab;
local municipality means a municipality that shares municipal executive and legislative authority in its area with a district municipality within whose area it falls, and which is described in section 155(1) of the Constitution as a category B municipality;
provincial department ’ means a department listed in Schedule 2 of the Public Service Act, 1994 (Proclamation No. 103 of 1994), which falls within a provincial administration listed in Schedule 1 to that Act; 10
