Examples of School service in a sentence
In each succeeding year of employment, the School Service Date shall be deemed to be the anniversary of appointment of the Teacher for the purpose of this clause.
The exception to clause 19.3(c) is if the commencement date of the leave is during the summer pupil vacation prior to the School Service Date.
A Teacher who commences employment after the School Service Date, shall be paid from the date the Teacher commences, provided that at the end of Term IV or final semester in that year, the Teacher shall be paid an amount calculated pursuant to clause 17.3 and shall receive no salary or other payment other than payment under this clause until the School Service Date in the following school year.
If this occurs, the paid leave will commence on the School Service Date.
Where an Employee receives an averaged rate of pay, in accordance with clauses 14.4 - 14.6, and the Employee’s employment ceases, the Employer shall compare the total amount received by the Employee during that school year since the School Service Date (or the date of commencement of employment of the Employee if after the School Service Date that year) with the amount the Employee would have earned if their salary had not been averaged in accordance with clauses 14.4 - 14.6 including accrued annual leave.
