DUPAGE RIVER TRAIL RESOLUTION # 11R-792 The Board considered for approval a Resolution (#11R-792) authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Shorewood and the Forest Preserve District of Will County (DuPage River Trail), presented by EDC Xx. Xxxxx. The Forest Preserve has been working on segments of the DuPage River Trail from Naperville down to the connection with the I&M Canal trail to the south. As part of the Xxxxxx Xxxxx segment they are planning to go underneath the Rt. 52 bridge. (A very expensive endeavor). They have secured the funds to do that and will be doing the construction. They will be bringing it up to East Shore Drive across some of the property acquired by the Village after the flood of 96. They will be obtaining all the permits and the Village will cooperate with them in those efforts. They will be doing the actual construction and the Village will do the ongoing maintenance of that on Village property.
