Research Study means the gathering of data, information,
Research Study means the Phase 1 clinical trial under IND BB-IND 11948 entitled “A Randomized Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Dose-Escalating Study of Intramuscular Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor 2 Gene Transfer in Patients with Moderate or High-Risk Critical Limb Ischemia” funded, in part, by a grant received by Recipient from the National Institutes of Health, and is pursuant to NIH Protocol No. 0408-671. The Research Study will be conducted at the facility of Recipient and through subinvestigators at clinical sites listed on Exhibit C.
Research Study means the study described by Subsection (b).

  • In the event Provider seeks to conduct research in the Chicago Public Schools or use Confidential Information, including CPS Student Data, for purposes not specified in this Agreement, then Provider shall comply with the Board’s External Research Study and Data Policy (19-1211-PO3), as amended from time to time.

  • This Agreement, including the Research Study Request, may be executed in any number of counterparts, each of which is deemed an original, and all of which together constitute one instrument.

More Definitions of Research Study

Research Study means that specific non- commercial research study prepared and to be performed by Institution and approved by EMD Serono, a description of which is attached hereto as Exhibit C.
Research Study means any investigation which uses, analyzes, references, or otherwise involves any UNC student-athlete’s Confidential Information or in which any UNC student-athlete is a subject or participant, including research development, testing, evaluation, or any other similar activity which is intended or designed to develop or contribute to generalizable knowledge, understandings, data, perspectives, representations, presentations, or conclusions. This definition shall exclude any analysis of a student-athlete’s respective Confidential Information which:
Research Study means the study designed and performed during the Initial Term by AstraZeneca which uses the data in the STRENGTH Database solely to investigate the genetic basis of variable response to Statins, PROVIDED, THAT, AstraZeneca shall have sole discretion whether to conduct the Research Study. For the avoidance of doubt, the Research Study shall be a study that is carried out as a consequence of information contained in the STRENGTH Database, i.e. it is not any research study investigating the genetic basis of variable response to Statins that AstraZeneca may carry out during the Initial Term and/or Extended Term without using information in the STRENGTH Database.
Research Study means the Phase 1 clinical trial under IND 11572 entitled pVGI.1 (VEGF-2) Gene Transfer for Diabetic Neuropathy funded, in part, by a grant received by Recipient from the National Institutes of Health, and is pursuant to NIH Protocol No. 0402-632. The Research Study will be conducted at the facility of Recipient and through a subinvestigator at the New England Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts.

Related to Research Study

  • Research Program has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Clinical Study means a Phase I Study, Phase II Study, Phase III Study, as applicable.

  • Collaboration Compound means any of the following: (a) FG-4592, (b) any HIF Compound (other than FG-4592) that is added to this Agreement pursuant to Section 3.6, and (c) any salts, esters, complexes, chelates, crystalline and amorphous morphic forms, pegylated forms, enantiomers (excluding regioisomers), prodrugs, solvates, metabolites and catabolites of any of the foregoing ((a) or (b)).

  • Development Program means the implementation of the development plan.

  • Research Plan shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Research Program Term has the meaning set forth in Section 2.2.

  • Collaboration has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Clinical Studies means Xxxxx 0, Xxxxx 0, Xxxxx 0, Xxxxx 3, and such other tests and studies in human subjects that are required by Applicable Law, or otherwise recommended by the Regulatory Authorities, to obtain or maintain Regulatory Approvals for a Licensed Product for one (1) or more indications, including tests or studies that are intended to expand the Product Labeling for such Licensed Product with respect to such indication.

  • Clinical Trials means a controlled study in humans of the safety or efficacy of a Product, and includes, without limitation, such clinical trials as are designed to support expanded labeling or to satisfy the requirements of an Agency in connection with any Product Approval and any other human study used in research and Development of a Product.

  • Collaboration Product means a pharmaceutical product containing or comprising Compound in any dosage form alone, or in combination with, one or more other pharmaceutically active ingredients, and any and all Improvements thereto.

  • Development Candidate means a Compound that meets the Development Candidate Criteria for the initiation of a Development Program for the treatment of CF, and which is the subject of a notice from Vertex to CFFT that Vertex intends to commence formal pre-clinical development of the Compound in the Field pursuant to the provisions of Section 3.1 hereof.

  • Phase I Clinical Study means, as to a particular Licensed Product, an initial clinical study in humans with the purpose of assessing the Licensed Product’s safety, tolerability, toxicity, pharmacokinetics or other pharmacological properties.

  • Clinical Trial means a Phase I Clinical Trial, Phase II Clinical Trial or Phase III Clinical Trial, or any post-approval human clinical trial, as applicable.

  • Development Work means the conduct of preclinical and clinical trials, the compilation of the regulatory dossier concerning Licensed Products and the conduct of other work necessary or useful for obtaining Regulatory Approval of Licensed Products.

  • Commercialization or “Commercialize” means activities directed to marketing, promoting, research and development as required, manufacturing for sale, offering for sale, distributing, importing or selling a product, including sub-licensing or sub-contracting of these activities.

  • Development Activities means those activities which are normally undertaken for the development, construction, repair, renovation, rehabilitation or conversion of buildings for residential purposes, including the acquisition of property;

  • Phase III Clinical Study means a trial involving administration of a Compound to sufficient numbers of human patients with the goal of establishing that the Compound is safe and efficacious for its intended use, to define warnings, precautions and adverse reactions that are associated with the drug or label expansion of such Compound, and to be considered as a pivotal study for submission of an NDA.

  • Phase II Clinical Study means a human clinical study of a product initiated to determine the safety and efficacy in the target patient population, as described 21 C.F.R. 312.21(b).

  • Development Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 3.2.

  • Research Project means a discrete scientific endeavor to answer a research question or a set of research questions related to medical marijuana and is required for a medical marijuana research license.

  • Study means the investigation to be conducted in accordance with the Protocol.

  • Development Works means the external development works and internal development works on immovable property;

  • Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a human clinical trial of a product in any country that would satisfy the requirements of 21 C.F.R. 312.21(b) and is intended to explore a variety of doses, dose response, and duration of effect, and to generate initial evidence of clinical safety and activity in a target patient population, or a similar clinical study prescribed by the relevant Regulatory Authorities in a country other than the United States.

  • Pivotal Study means (a) a Phase 3 Study that is intended by Celgene to be submitted (together with any other registration trials that are prospectively planned when such Phase 3 Study is initiated) for Regulatory Approval in the U.S. or the EU, or (b) any other clinical study that is designed to establish that a pharmaceutical product is safe and efficacious for its intended use, and to determine warnings, precautions, and adverse reactions that are associated with such pharmaceutical product in the dosage range to be prescribed, which clinical study is a registration trial intended to be sufficient for filing an application for a Regulatory Approval for the Licensed Product in the U.S. or another country or some or all of an extra-national territory, solely as evidenced by the acceptance for filing for a Regulatory Approval for such product after completion of such study.

  • Clinical means having a significant relationship, whether real or potential, direct or indirect, to the actual rendering or outcome of dental care, the practice of dentistry, or the quality of dental care being rendered to a patient;

  • Phase III Clinical Trials means a Clinical Trial for the Product on sufficient numbers of patients to generate safety and efficacy data to support Regulatory Approval in the proposed therapeutic indication, conducted in accordance with current good clinical practices and in accordance with a protocol that has been reviewed by the FDA and reflects any comments or concerns raised by the same.
