Regenerative braking definition

Regenerative braking means the partial recovery of the energy normally dissipated into friction braking that is returned as electrical current to an energy storage device.
Regenerative braking means the decelerating of the vehicle when the vehicle energy management system diverts part of the kinetic energy at the wheel to charge the rechargeable energy storage system (REESS).
Regenerative braking means the decelerating of the vehicle when the battery management system diverts part of the kinetic energy at the wheel to charge the battery pack or drive batteries.
