Provisional Interconnection Service definition

Provisional Interconnection Service means interconnection service provided by Transmission Provider associated with interconnecting the Interconnection Customer’s Generating Facility to Transmission Provider’s Transmission System and enabling that Transmission System to receive electric energy and capacity from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection, pursuant to the terms of the Interconnection Service Agreement and, if applicable, the Tariff.

Provisional Interconnection Service means interconnection service provided by Transmission Provider associated with interconnecting the Project Developer’s Generating Facility to Transmission Provider’s Transmission System and enabling that Transmission System to receive electric energy and capacity from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection pursuant to the terms of the Interconnection Service Agreement and, if applicable, the Tariff.

Provisional Interconnection Service means interconnection service provided by Transmission Provider associated with interconnecting the Project Developer’s Generating Facility to Transmission Provider’s Transmission System and enabling that Transmission System to receive electric energy and capacity from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection.

• Where available studies indicate that such Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, and/or System Protection Facilities that are required for the interconnection of a new, modified and/or expanded Small Generating Facility are not currently in place, System Operator will perform a study, at the Interconnection Customer’s expense, to confirm the facilities that are required for Provisional Interconnection Service.

• Provisional Interconnection Service is an optional procedure and it will not alter the Interconnection Customer’s Queue Position and associated cost and upgrade responsibilities.

• Provisional Large Generator Interconnection Agreement shall mean the interconnection agreement for Provisional Interconnection Service established between Transmission Provider and/or the Transmission Owner and the Interconnection Customer.

• The maximum permissible output of the Small Generating Facility in the Provisional Small Generator Interconnection Agreement shall be studied and updated each time the conditions assumed in the studies supporting the Provisional Interconnection Service change.

• Where available studies indicate that such, Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, and/or System Protection Facilities that are required for the interconnection of a new, modified and/or expanded Generating Facility are not currently in place, Transmission Provider will perform a study, at the Interconnection Customer’s expense, to confirm the facilities that are required for Provisional Interconnection Service.
